We previously reported that the cast of "Welcome Back, Kotter" will be reunited at the upcoming TV Land Awards, but they won’t be the only sitcom stars enjoying a reunion. TV Land announced Tuesday that the stars of NBC’s "The Facts of Life" will also be reunited to be honored at the show.

TVWeek has learned that Charlotte Rae, Mindi Cohn, Lisa Whelchel, Kim Fields and Nancy McKeon will all appear on the TV Land Awards telecast, when "The Facts of Life" will receive the Pop Culture Award.

This is the first time the entire group will have shared a stage since the show ended its NBC run in 1988. "The Facts of Life" began in 1979 as a spinoff of "Diff’rent Strokes."

The awards are being held for the first time in New York City at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center on Sunday, April 10. The broadcast on TV Land will take place a week later, Sunday, April 17, 2011, at 9 p.m. ET.

  1. Way to Fact Check! The series ran from 1975-1979. Last time I looked the 80’s started after 1979.

  2. They were referring to Facts of Life, not Kotter, regarding the ’80s.

  3. Hey Lary A. Hole:
Way to read the article you numbskull!
This article is about Facts of Life which ran from ’79-’88.
    You dillweed.
