Demand for the just-released iPad 2 has been enormous, and Apple is taking longer than expected to fill orders. The wait time for a new iPad is now four to five weeks, PC Magazine reports.
The device first went on sale Friday, prompting long lines at Apple Stores and other retail outlets across the U.S. Shoppers reported that stores quickly sold out. Some stores were expecting shipments today and planned to open early.
Buyers are limited to two iPads per order, and the wait time is reportedly the same for all versions, including black, white, 3G and Wi-Fi.
