ABC Notches Huge Win in Monday Ratings

With its dance competition show “Dancing With the Stars” dominating the night, ABC waltzed to a huge win in Monday’s ratings, TVbytheNumbers.com reported.

ABC closed out the night with a 3.9 average rating for prime time in the 18-49 demo, easily beating CBS (2.4 average), Fox (2.2), Univision (1.5) and NBC (1.4). ABC also coasted to a huge win in total viewers, averaging 18.0 million to 7.8 million for CBS, 7.0 million for Fox, 4.3 million for NBC and 3.6 million for Univision.

At 8 p.m. the first hour of "Dancing’s" two-hour show scored a 4.0 in the 18-49 demographic; Fox’s "House" followed with a 2.9. CBS’s "How I Met Your Mother" and "Mad Love" netted a 2.7 and a 2.2, respectively, in the 18-49 demographic. NBC’s "Chuck" and CW’s "90210" trailed with a 1.4 and a 0.7, respectively.

At 9 p.m. another hour of "Dancing" logged a 4.7 in the 18-49 demographic. CBS’s "Mike & Molly" in the lower half of the hour scored a 2.3 in that demo, while Fox’s "The Chicago Code" managed a 1.6 for the hour. NBC’s "The Event" and CW’s "Gossip Girl" followed with a 1.3 and a 0.7, respectively, in the 18-49 demo.

The 10 p.m. hour was won by ABC’s "Castle" with a 2.9 in the 18-49 demo. CBS’s "Hawaii Five-0" and NBC’s "Law & Order: LA" had a 2.4 and a 1.4, respectively.
