The broadcast networks are quickly arranging prime-time news specials for tonight to cover the killing of Osama bin Laden, Entertainment Weekly reports.

Initially, both CBS and ABC announced plans to send anchors to Ground Zero in New York for one-hour specials tonight.

CBS will broadcast "The Killing of Osama bin Laden" at 6:30 p.m. ET, hosted by Katie Couric from Ground Zero.

ABC News will expand "World News With Diane Sawyer" at 6:30 p.m. ET to fill the hour, which will also be televised from Ground Zero. Former Vice President Dick Cheney and the former Mayor of New York City, Rudy Giuliani, will be among those interviewed.

NBC later joined in with its own planned one-hour news special, the New York Daily News reported. It was anticipated that anchor Brian Williams would also report from Ground Zero.
