On the heels of a rejection earlier this week by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, HBO has been turned down again as it searches for an NFL team to be the focus of its “Hard Knocks” documentary series, ESPN reports.
The latest team to give HBO the bad news is the Denver Broncos.
After getting a pitch from HBO to take part in the show, a spokesperson for the team, Patrick Smyth, said, “We appreciate the value of the show, but at this time we are going to pass.”
Speaking of passing, John Elway, Hall of Fame quarterback and now an executive with the NFL franchise, is making the decisions along with the owner.
Last season, the New York Jets were the stars of "Hard Knocks."
