CBS and Warner Bros. TV have set their sights on a new actor after Hugh Grant passed on replacing Charlie Sheen in "Two and a Half Men," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The new actor hasn’t been identified, the story says. Both the network and the studio want to have an actor lined up before CBS’s upfront presentation May 18, with the two companies agreeing to split the cost of whoever replaces Sheen.

As previously reported, Grant was believed to be close to signing before talks broke down. Sources are now saying Grant was being offered a salary in the ballpark of $600,000 per episode, according to THR.
