A bubble show that has been threatened with cancellation by NBC for the past two years will be back for another season, Deadline.com reports.

NBC is finalizing a 13-episode order for “Chuck,” the story says. It’s unclear what that means for "Law & Order: Los Angeles," another NBC show that’s considered a possibility for cancellation, the article notes.

“Chuck’s” renewal was expected, and "Parenthood" is also expected to be renewed, as previously reported.

"The Event" will likely be canceled, the Deadline.com piece adds. "Harry’s Law," from David E. Kelley, is considered likely to return for another season, the article notes.

  1. This is a smart move by NBC. Maybe the new management will finally make a difference. AMC, FX and A&E have shown that this concept of 10-13 week shows can gain and sustain a very loyal audience that can be promoted to other programming. It also provides a way to deliver on the DVD and Streaming revenue side. This next generation of TV watchers have a lot of options and are not always interested in being committed for 20 or more weeks.
