On a day when the broadcast networks made sweeping programming announcements, CBS got in on the act with the news that it is picking up J.J. Abrams’ “Person of Interest” and Michael Patrick King and Whitney Cummings’ “Two Broke Girls” to series, Deadline.com reported.

Cummings also has an NBC comedy series, which will take priority for her, leaving King to probably co-run “Girls” with another comedy writer-producer, the story says.

The Abrams show is a crime drama written by Jonah Nolan.
