NBC’s spy series “Chuck” has been on the bubble for some time, and finally its fate is known, Deadline.com reports. NBC has revealed that it will bring the show back for one last season, according to the story.

The season will be a short one–just 13 episodes–but the news should let "Chuck" fans breathe a sigh of relief. The show has struggled with low ratings, usually coming in fourth among five shows in the Monday 8 p.m. time slot.

The fate of "Law & Order: LA" has also been decided, with NBC opting to dump the series, Deadline.com reports. Despite the network’s effort to fix the freshman crime procedural, the show has never clicked with viewers.

Entertainment Weekly is reporting that "The Event" has also been axed by NBC. The ratings were stagnant for the sci-fi show, hitting an average rating of 2.5 in the 18-49 demographic. For a show as expensive as "The Event," that just wasn’t good enough.

NBC has yet to make its decision official on "The Event" or to give "Outsourced" the thumbs-up or thumbs-down.

  1. I feel sorry for Chuck. Being pitted against Dancing With The Stars is a recipe for a quick demise. If they moved Chuck, he would probably do much better.
