The CW announced three drama pickups today, and may have more on the way, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Ahead of its upfront presentation later this week, the network revealed it has given series orders to “The Secret Circle,” “Hart of Dixie” and “Ringer.” It may also add the legal series “Heavenly” for midseason, the story says.

“The Secret Circle” is based on a book series by L.J. Smith (“The Vampire Diaries”), and stars Britt Robertson who discovers she’s a witch who has a key role in the ongoing battle between good and evil. “Vampire Diaries” co-creator Kevin Williamson is part of the creative team.

“Hart of Dixie” is a doctor drama from Josh Schwartz, Stephanie Savage and Len Goldstein, starring Rachel Bilson. “Ringer” has Sarah Michelle Gellar on board in a mob-oriented twin-on-the-run saga.
