‘Dancing With the Stars’ Paces ABC to Huge Win in Monday Ratings

With “Dancing With the Stars” racking up the best numbers of the night, ABC coasted to a huge ratings win Monday night, TVbytheNumbers.com reported.

ABC averaged a 3.8 rating for the night in the 18-49 demo, way ahead of Fox (2.3 average), CBS (2.1), Univision (1.4) and NBC (1.2). ABC also dominated total viewers, averaging 17.7 million to 7.3 million for CBS, 6.7 million for Fox, 4.3 million for NBC and 3.6 million for Univision.

At 8 p.m. hour one of "Dancing" had a 3.75 mean score in the 18-49 demographic, while Fox’s "House" averaged a 2.9. CBS’s "How I Met Your Mother" and "Mad Love" reached a 2.5 and a 1.8, respectively, in the 18-49 demo, ahead of NBC’s "Chuck" with a 1.3 and CW’s "90210" with a 0.7.

At 9 p.m. hour two of "Dancing" delivered a solid 4.4 in the 18-49 demo. CBS’s "Mike & Molly" had a 2.2 in the 18-49 demo for the bottom of the hour. Fox’s "The Chicago Code" had a mean score of 1.75, NBC’s "The Event" a 1.1 and CW’s "Gossip Girl" a 0.6 for the hour.

"Castle" gave ABC the win at 10 p.m. with a 3.05 average in the 18-49 demo. CBS’s "Hawaii Five-0" had a mean score of 2.25 and NBC’s "Law & Order: Los Angeles" a 1.2 for the hour.
