Disney reported fiscal second-quarter profits that were down 1%, with the film segment–and in particular the poor performance of “Mars Needs Moms”–doing most of the damage, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Media networks–the company’s largest segment–was a bright spot, up 17% in operating income to $1.5 billion, with revenue up 12% to $4.3 billion.
Net income for the company as a whole was $942 million, with revenue up 6% to $9.1 billion.
The film studio saw operating income fall 65% to $77 million, with revenue off 13% to $1.3 billion.
