Dish Network Chairman Charlie Ergen has turned over chief executive duties and day-to-day operation of the company to Joseph Clayton, 61, reports Bloomberg.

Ergen will focus on Dish’s strategy, the story notes. Ergen and Clayton, who served as chairman of Sirius Satellite Radio from 2004 to 2008, have already discussed strategies, including acquisitions, Clayton said.

Dish recently bought Blockbuster’s movie-rental business, and other acquisitions may be in the works, the piece notes.
