A co-executive producer of "Entertainment Tonight" has left the show after only eight months on the job, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The move by Heidi Clements is reportedly her choice, based on her wanting to become a writer. Linda Fuller, who has been with the show for nearly two decades, will take over Clements’ position as the key producing partner to EP Linda Bell Blue.

Bell Blue said of her former “right hand”: "Heidi is simply one of the most talented people I know, and my respect for her runs very deep. I have read some of her scripts, and she has a huge writing career ahead of her. I wish her all the very best.”

Clements put her move this way: "While being named co-executive producer of ‘Entertainment Tonight’ was an honor and will always be a career highlight, I have decided to leave a dream job and follow my true dream to work in scripted television.”
