‘Golden-Voiced’ Former Homeless Man Back in Rehab–But It’s Apparently Not Because of Drugs This Time

“Golden-voiced” former homeless man Ted Williams, who’s now taping a reality show and is reportedly being swamped with job offers, is returning to rehab, E! Online reports.

The pressures of the show and the flood of offers have been too much for him and he needs rest, according to the story. Williams’ manager says the reason he’s going back to rehab is emotional, and not a drug relapse. "All of the shooting for his reality show has taken a serious toll on him," said manager Al Battle. "This is not a trip back to rehab because of a drug or alcohol relapse. It’s all emotional. Ted is exhausted."

Williams is said to be committed to a 90-day program at a Texas facility–the same one he bailed out on in January after agreeing to go there during an appearance on “Dr. Phil.”

The reality show is supposed to be taping currently in Brooklyn and Ohio, where he was discovered, the story says. A second season of the reality show is reported to be in the works, the article adds.
