As the only major network to air a full slate of new programming, ABC coasted to an easy ratings win Monday night, TVbytheNumbers.com reported.
ABC averaged a 2.2 rating for the night in the 18-49 demo, well ahead of Univision (1.4 average), CBS (1.4), NBC (1.1) and Fox (0.9). ABC also won total viewers, averaging 7.1 million to 5.5 million for CBS, 5.2 million for NBC, 3.7 million for Univision and 3.3 million for Fox.
At 8 p.m. hour one of "The Bachelorette" collected a 1.9 average in the 18-49 demographic, up against all reruns.
In the 9 p.m. hour, the show increased its rating, getting a mean score of 2.3 in the 18-49 demo for the hour. NBC’s "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" logged a 1.05 average for the hour in the same demo.
At 10 p.m. a new ABC reality show, "Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition," scored a 2.35 average in the 18-49 demographic, beating a fresh "Law & Order: Los Angeles" with a 1.4 for the hour.
