MSNBC has tapped former Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele as a political analyst, reports TVNewser.com.

Steele has appeared on cable-news networks since he left his job earlier this year, and has been seeking a deal with one of them, the piece notes.

"I look forward to engaging a diverse audience to share insights and analysis about the people, issues and events shaping America’s future. I’m sure our discussions will be both informative and a bit spirited!" Steele said in a statement.

Steele served as a political contributor to Fox News Channel before taking on the RNC job.

  1. Sickening. Fox Garbage News all over again. Tits & Ass & Lies & RNC releases. Truly sickening.

  2. The writing was on the wall once Comcast (SUCKS!) was allowed to purchase NBC. Their corporatist agenda was confirmed with the time slot change of The Ed Schultz program, and the departures of Keith Olbermann, and (the soon-to-leave) Rachel Maddow. Within two years MSNBC will resemble nothing more than “FOX lite,” and will have lost the little credibility it had built up as a legitimate news outfit.
