A 30-year-old man who worked as a music coordinator for MTV was shot to death in what police describe as an execution-style slaying, the Los Angeles Times reported.
The body of Gabriel Aron Ben-Meir was found Sunday on a sidewalk in L.A.’s Mid-Wilshire District, near where Ben-Meir lived. The shooting took place at about 1 a.m. Sunday.
Police said they had no leads or suspects. Ben-Meir had been shot at least once in the back of the head, possibly with a shotgun, they said.
He was credited as a musical coordinator or post-production coordinator on a number of MTV shows, including ‘Top Pop Group,’ the story reported.
MTV released a statement saying Ben-Meir was a "valued member of the MTV family and a beloved and dedicated colleague. We are shocked and saddened to learn about the tragic death. Our hearts go out to his family."
