Spike TV announced that it has picked up six episodes of a new, original series. The announcement was made today by Tim Duffy, the network’s senior VP of original series.

“Flipping Foreclosures,” a half-hour unscripted series, will premiere in fall 2011. The show is executive produced and created by Dave Broome (“Biggest Loser”) and 25/7 Productions.

The real estate show focuses on Utah-based Doug Clark and Mike Baird, who buy and flip foreclosed property. “In each episode, the hosts will walk viewers through the often tenuous process that is involved and provide tips and analysis along their journey,” the network said in a statement.

Added Duffy: “The heart of the series is our enterprising, ambitious hosts who look to persevere in the financially precarious world of real estate.”
