ESPN has announced the appointment of a new vice president, Sales Marketing, for ESPN’s Customer Marketing and Sales group.
The job is being taken by Cindy Freed, who will oversee the ad sales marketing group, including ESPN’s Co-Marketing team, Creative Works and Marketing Services.
The company said Freed “will help develop key messages for the sales team as well as help develop cross-platform, creative ideas that build the businesses of ESPN’s clients. Cindy will report into both Sean Hanrahan, senior vice president, Marketing Solutions, and Tricia Betron, senior vice president, Multimedia Sales.”
Freed has experience across digital, print and television. She was previously at Yahoo! in the ad sales marketing group, and before that was a VP, business marketing, at USA Today.
