Even though it’s eligible to be considered for a best comedy Emmy, producer Warner Bros. has decided not to enter CBS’s "Two and a Half Men" in the competition, reports Deadline.com.

The decision was made in light of the off-screen drama surrounding the show, the story notes, with its former star Charlie Sheen battling the show’s creator, Chuck Lorre. The piece said it’s unclear whether Sheen will be part of this year’s Emmy competition.

The show has been nominated for the Emmy for best comedy series three times, most recently in 2008.
