The pet project of Viacom Chairman Sumner Redstone is so far proving to be a ratings flop, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

After three weeks on the air, "The Electric Barbarellas," an MTV docusoap about a girl group, has averaged 858,000 viewers, the story notes. The show airs on Wednesdays at 11 p.m. after "Real World: Las Vegas" and is down 34% in the time period compared with the previous four weeks, when reruns of "Real World" aired.

Redstone met the group through his grandson Brandon, who is dating one of the band members’ friends, the piece notes.
