A Few iPad 2’s Recalled by Apple

Apple said it’s recalling an "extremely small number" of iPad 2’s because of a problem connecting to Verizon Wireless’ network, reports the Los Angeles Times’ Technology blog.

The recall affects iPad 2’s that were made with duplicate identifying numbers, which prevented the tablets from connecting while running on the Verizon network, the story says.

Apple declined to disclose how many tablets are being recalled. Those with the flaw will be replaced with new ones, the article notes.
