ABC Tops Monday Night Nielsens with Reality Slate

ABC coasted to an easy ratings win Monday night, with reality fare “The Bachelorette” and "Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition" outpacing mostly repeat competition on the other broadcast nets, TVbytheNumbers.com reported.

ABC averaged a 2.4 rating in the 18-49 demo for the night, well ahead of Fox (1.6 average), CBS (1.3), NBC (1.3) and Univision (1.2). ABC also won total viewers, averaging 7.5 million to 5.7 million for NBC, 5.2 million for CBS, 4.0 million for Fox and 3.2 million for Univision.

At 8 p.m. hour one of "The Bachelorette" scored a 2.3 in the 18-49 demographic, up against all reruns on the other networks.

At 9 p.m. "The Bachelorette’s" second hour rose to a 2.7 in the 18-49 demo, while a fresh "MasterChef" on Fox managed a 2.0 in the same demo.

ABC’s "Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition" at 10 p.m. delivered a 2.3 in the 18-49 demo, up against NBC’s new episode of "Law & Order: LA," which had a 1.5 in the same demographic.
