A rep for Dave Chappelle said a report that surfaced Thursday about the comedian is “absolutely untrue,” according to EW.com’s Inside TV blog. The report indicated Chappelle has a return to television in the works.
"Absolutely untrue," said Carla Sims, Chappelle’s representative, in response to the report. The Web paper The Daily wrote that Chappelle planned to make a deal with an online service such as Hulu or Netflix that would give him a lot of creative control while reviving his TV career.
If Chappelle were to return to TV, it’s likely that he would pick a bigger platform than an online service, the story says. Currently Chappelle is doing stand-up comedy.
