Tina Fey, the comedian who drew raves for her impersonation of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin on “Saturday Night Live,” was mistakenly shown as Palin during a Fox News segment, reports Mediaite.com.
The mistake is especially notable given that Palin works for Fox News, and in light of a widely publicized “zero-tolerance policy” toward on-air mistakes by the news channel that surfaced in part in response to Palin-related gaffes, the story points out.
A Sunday news segment on "America’s News Headquarters" about Palin’s bus tour included a photo of Fey dressed as Palin from a 2008 "Saturday Night Live" skit, the article notes.
Fox News said the producer had been disciplined and an apology would be issued during next Sunday’s show, the story adds.
