Film actor Jason Patric, best known for his roles in movies such as “The Lost Boys” and “Sleepers,” will play the male lead in a new FX project, “Powers,” based on a graphic novel, Deadline.com reported.

If the show goes to series, it would mark Patric’s first regular television gig, the story notes. Patric co-starred in the HBO comedy pilot "Tilda" last year.

"Powers" is a police show set in a world where supernatural talents are fairly common, with Patric playing one of the show’s detectives, the story notes.
