Fox is putting a big promotional push behind "Terra Nova," the time-traveling drama about a family that is transported to prehistoric Earth, reports the Los Angeles Times’ Company Town blog.

Steven Spielberg and former News Corp. President Peter Chernin are executive producers on the show, which is scheduled for a Sept. 26 premiere and is seen as a key player in the network’s new lineup.

"This is definitely one of our highest priorities for the fall," said Joe Earley, the network’s president of marketing. The network is promoting the show in zoos, museums and theme parks around the country, trying to attract families and kids to the program. Trailers for the TV show will also appear before the next "Harry Potter" movie this summer.

The network hopes that the show will have broad appeal, attracting science fiction fans as well as families. Internally the show is being called "’Little House on the Prairie’ with dinosaurs," the piece says.
