One of the top directors of the ABC hit “Lost” has washed up on the shore of another island-themed project, this time at Fox, Deadline.com reports.

Fox’s "Alcatraz" has tapped Jack Bender as an executive producer and director, according to the story. Bender helmed 36 of “Lost’s” 116 episodes, more than any other director.

Bender will be reuniting with other former "Lost" linchpins such as J.J. Abrams, Elizabeth Sarnoff and Bryan Burke. Abrams and Burke are executive producing "Alcatraz," which focuses on a San Francisco detective who discovers a mystery attached to the famous island prison.

Bender earned one of "Lost’s” 12 Emmy nominations last year for directing the show’s finale.
