One cable network just recorded its highest-rated month ever, as viewers tuned in for coverage of Casey Anthony’s murder trial, according to The Hollywood Reporter’s The Live Feed blog.

HLN averaged 982,000 total viewers in June, a year-over-year gain of 86%, the story says. Among viewers 25 to 54 years old, the network saw a gain of 79%, with 292,000 tuning in during the month on average.

HLN topped segment leader Fox News during some daytime slots, when live trial testimony was at its height, the story reports.

Nancy Grace, who has been covering the trial for HLN, saw her prime-time show rise more than 80% to 1.5 million total viewers in June, second only to Fox’s Bill O’Reilly on cable news at 8 p.m., the article notes.
