AMC’s "Mad Men" will feature Don Draper for a number of years as actor Jon Hamm, who portrays the advertising executive, has signed a deal to remain on the show, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The pact is for three years.

"Mad Men" creator Matthew Weiner recently signed a two-year contract with AMC and Lionsgate TV, with an option for a third season, the story notes.

Hamm’s agreement may signal that Lionsgate TV and AMC will pick up Weiner’s option and continue the show into a seventh season, the article notes. The fifth season of "Mad Men," currently in preproduction, is slated for a March 2012 debut.

As previously reported, Hamm recently commented on contracts and production delays and speculated that the show would run another three seasons.
