The Broadcast Television Journalists Association in partnership with the Broadcast Film Critics Association announced its nominees for the first Critics’ Choice Television Awards today, with ABC’s "Modern Family" netting six nominations and AMC’s "Mad Men" nabbing five, reports TheWrap.com.
Four actors from "Mad Men"–Jon Hamm, John Slattery, Elisabeth Moss and Christina Hendricks–were recognized in the dramatic acting categories. "Modern Family" did even better with five acting nominations in the comedy group, with three male stars–Ty Burrell, Ed O’Neill and Eric Stonestreet–competing in the supporting actor category, and Julie Bowen and Sofia Vergara vying on the distaff side.
The awards will be presented June 20 at the Beverly Hills Hotel, with VH1.com live-streaming the event. Then on June 22, ReelzChannel will broadcast the show. Cat Deely, a nominee for "So You Think You Can Dance," will host the awards.
