MTV has announced plans for the 26th cycle of “Real World,” the network’s longest-running reality franchise. The show will return to a city it has visited in the past: San Diego.
“The Real World: San Diego” is due to premiere later this year.
The latest edition of the show, “The Real World: Las Vegas,” has been the top-ranked original cable series on Wednesday nights in the 12-34 demo, the network said.
“We’re excited to return to San Diego, a city that has always been a magnet for young people with its beautiful beaches, sunny skies, laidback lifestyle and welcoming spirit,” said Jonathan Murray, chairman of Bunim/Murray Productions and executive producer of “The Real World.”
