The supermarket tabloid the National Enquirer is pitching a reality show about the publication’s reporters digging into scandals, reports the New York Post’s Page Six.

CBS veteran Hal Gessner is producing the weekly series and pitching it to CBS’s Eye Too Productions, the article notes. Called "Breaking It: Behind the Scenes of the National Enquirer," the show includes 2008 footage from the newspaper’s unearthing of John Edwards’ relationship and love child with Rielle Hunter, the piece notes.

National Enquirer executive editor Barry Levine and David Pecker, the chief executive of the newspaper’s parent American Media, are also producing the project.
