In news that may surprise many viewers given his sudden exit from MSNBC a while back, Keith Olbermann will be back in the corporate family, albeit briefly, with a scheduled appearance on NBC this week, reports TVNewser.com.

Olbermann is promoting his new version of "Countdown" on Current TV and will appear as a guest on NBC’s "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" on Thursday night. Presumably, he won’t have trouble getting past security at 30 Rock.

In addition to the "Late Night" appearance, on Wednesday night Olbermann will be a guest on Comedy Central’s "The Colbert Report."
