One edition of the Bravo reality franchise "Real Housewives” is trying to recruit a new cast of rich women for the next season, and the show’s entire current cast could be let go, reports the New York Post’s Page Six.
The show is "Real Housewives of New York City," whose current cast includes Jill Zarin, LuAnn de Lesseps and Cindy Barshop.
The success of the Beverly Hills edition has made Bravo executives want a new group of NYC "housewives" who have celebrity connections, the story says. In trying to find new cast members, the show approached public relations mavens Alison Brod, whose company bears her name, and Di Petroff, the co-founder of Brandstyle Communications, but both refused to be on the show, the story says.
Petroff declined to comment, although Brod noted, "I have turned down every reality show offer.”
