The host of a popular podcast has created a pilot presentation for a television show based on his life, reports New York Magazine’s Vulture blog.

Comedian Marc Maron announced plans for the show on his podcast “WTF,” according to the story.

The pilot presentation guest stars "Community" co-star Ken Jeong as himself, while Ed Asner plays Maron’s father. On the podcast, Maron’s dad is a "vitamin-obsessed bipolar doctor who seems chronically disappointed," the article notes.

"Not long ago [I] pitched a television show based on my life as I live it now. I’m a guy who does a podcast in his garage and people that people know from the world of celebrity and comedy come into my garage and they talk to me. That’s a reality," Maron said.
