For the first time ever, two of the giants of sports broadcasting will join forces to announce a baseball game, according to the Sporting News.
Emmy Award winners Al Michaels and Bob Costas will combine their talents for a game July 8 between the New York Mets and San Francisco Giants. The game at AT&T Park in San Francisco will be televised by the MLB Network.
The pair have never previously announced a Major League Baseball game together. Costas is currently calling MLB games, but Michaels, who has announced eight World Series, has not done MLB play-by-play since 1995.
There’s no mention of which play-by-play man will take that part for this game.
And just how will those two huge EGOS fit into on tiny broadcast booth?
