Couple Featured on Reality Show Arrested

A couple who appeared on a controversial reality show has been arrested, reports the Associated Press

Officers reportedly found the Arkansas home of Joshua Rendon and Ebony Jackson-Rendon filled with feces, flies and maggots. The couple appeared on the first season of MTV’s "16 and Pregnant."

Rendon and Jackson-Rendon, both 19, were charged Tuesday after the search of their home, while the Arkansas Department of Human Services took custody of their 2-year-old child, the story notes. The child was born while the TV show was taping, the piece adds.

They are facing charges of maintaining a drug premises and unauthorized use of another’s property to facilitate a crime, as well as with misdemeanor child endangerment, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance, the article says.

The couple live at the Little Rock Air Force Base, where their home was found to be in "deplorable" condition, according to Jacksonville police Capt. Kenny Boyd, the piece says.

Reached by phone, Joshua Rendon said, "It’s not in our best interest" to discuss the case, the story adds.
