Initial ratings have come in for ABC’s replacement for the soap opera "All My Children" — a lifestyle series called "The Chew." According to The Hollywood Reporter’s The Live Feed blog, the show got off to a solid start on Monday with 2.5 million viewers.

"The Chew" drew more viewers than did the first episode last year of the CBS daytime talk show "The Talk," the story notes.

"The Chew" also outperformed "All My Children’s” season average from 2010-11 in total viewers, with the soap opera averaging 2.4 million viewers, and in women 18-49, where “The Chew’s” 0.9 rating topped “Children’s” 0.8, the piece adds.
