Fired Co-Host of ‘The Talk’ Says She Never Got a Reason Why She Was Booted

One of the former hosts of CBS’s “The Talk” took a moment to talk about her frustration over being fired from the show, E! Online reports.

Holly Robinson Peete said she wasn’t given a reason why her contract failed to be picked up for a second season of the daytime talk show, according to the report.

"To be quite honest, no, we have not heard a reason, and that kind of makes it a little more frustrating," Peete said. "I’ve been around long enough in this business to know that sometimes you don’t get a reason."

Peete added that the show’s viewers “deserve a reason or some acknowledgment,” but as far as she’s concerned, it’s all in the past. “I’m moving on and looking toward the future,” she told the website.

Peete said she’s "exploring a whole bunch of options," including scripted shows, the story says.

  1. No offense…I enjoyed the show, BUT Holly did not engage well unless it was about her. If someone else were telling a brief story or experience, she most often would look at her cards, not laugh along with the other hosts and it was very obvious.

  2. The Talk was the best daytime talk show, not anymore. I thought that L.R. and H.R.P. were on vacation or something. Then I realized that they have not been there for so long. So I said “so long” to The Talk. Sorry, but those two ladies brought so much fun to the table. Now it’s just like the View and that show has been on far too long.

  3. Holly seemed like she really liked her job and i enjoyed watching and listiening to her. But Leah got on my nerves with that laugh of hers and just plain old sucked. She sucked in Kings of Queens and she still sucks.

  4. I will not watch the talk again. It is nothing without Leah and Holly. The new ladies suck. This show will not make it. There is not one good lady on the show. I do think that we deserved a reason for Leah and Holly being dropped.
