The Nielsen ratings for CBS’s "Two and a Half Men" premiere Monday night were through the roof nationally, but network President and CBS Corp. CEO Leslie Moonves was especially happy about the local New York numbers, reports Extra.
"You don’t declare victory after one week, but the number was pretty high. In New York City alone, it beat the Giants!" Moonves told reporter AJ Calloway, referring to the New York Giants football game carried on ESPN.
In addition to beating football in New York, "Men" was also better than the "Comedy Central Roast of Charlie Sheen." About the latter, Moonves said, "I did not watch it, but I look forward to seeing it. I heard it’s very funny."
