Numbers Are In for Debut of ‘Anderson’

Ratings are in for the first installment of Anderson Cooper’s new daytime talk show "Anderson," which bowed Monday, reports the Los Angeles Times’ Show Tracker blog.

The premiere’s performance was so-so, with a 1.1 household rating. The show was well below "Regis and Kelly," which had a 2.9 rating, and "The Talk," which had a 1.9, the story says.

Syndicated talk shows can take time to build an audience, however, and syndicator Warner Bros. said that the debut was pre-empted in several markets and aired against U.S. Open tennis coverage, leading to "atypical" ratings, the piece notes.

  1. I saw the second episode with Kathy Griffin and the show was good. It is very laid back in a style similar to Ellen. He is engaging and if he can keep good guests coming in should see his ratings go up.
