A wildly popular singer-songwriter who is closely identified with tropical themes should be right at home when he makes a guest appearance in an upcoming episode of CBS’s “Hawaii Five-0," reports EW.com’s Inside TV.

Jimmy Buffett, known for hit songs including “Margaritaville” and “Cheeseburger in Paradise,” will play a veteran pilot who’s a friend of Lt. Commander Joe White, played by Terry O’Quinn, the story says. Buffett’s character helps the team rescue one of its members from what the story calls a sticky situation.

Buffett is an avid pilot in real life, and is known to fly himself around when he’s on tour with his Coral Reefer Band. Among his many entrepreneurial activities, he is involved in two restaurant chains: the Margaritaville Cafe and Cheeseburger in Paradise.

The episode will air in November.
