Christiane Amanpour may be headed back to CNN after butting heads with her ABC News bosses, according to sources cited by the New York Post’s Page Six. But ABC is denying the report.

Sources told the publication that "This Week" anchor Amanpour is reaching out to CNN in an effort to return to the network where she spent much of her career. According to the sources she hasn’t been happy as the anchor of the weekly political talk show and has been in touch with Turner CEO Phil Kent about returning to reporting on international affairs, the piece notes.

At ABC News, Amanpour has reportedly had friction with executive producer Rick Kaplan and ABC News President Ben Sherwood, the piece says.

A representative for ABC News said Amanpour calls the report "total nonsense" and added that she’s "very happy at ABC News," the story notes. CNN declined to comment, the piece adds.
