A&E announced that it is bringing back a drama series for another season, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The procedural "The Glades" will debut for a third season in the summer of 2012, the story reports.

The renewal comes as A&E is seeking to broaden its scripted offerings. The network has added other scripted shows such as "Breakout Kings" and "Longmire," the article adds.

"The Glades" grew its ratings among viewers 18 to 49 by 12% during its second season, and drew an average of 3.9 million total viewers, the piece says.
