GSN announced an acquisition today that indicates the cable network is getting “smart” about its programming. The channel picked up cable rights to 90 one-hour episodes of the former Fox show “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?”

GSN ordered the show, which is hosted by Jeff Foxworthy, from Mark Burnett and Twentieth Television. The channel plans to run the show in five-hours blocks on Sunday nights starting Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. ET.

The show, which aired on Fox from 2007-2009, includes celebrity appearances by Gene Simmons, Tony Hawk, Larry the Cable Guy, Kellie Pickler and others.
