A lawsuit filed by a former "Real World" cast member claims she was raped with a toothbrush by male cast members on "The Real World/Road Rules Challenge: The Ruins," reports TMZ.com.

Tonya Cooley filed the suit against MTV, Bunim/Murray Productions, Kenneth Santucci, Evan Starkman and others, the story notes. The lawsuit claims the men "took another male participant’s toothbrush and rubbed the toothbrush around plaintiff’s genitals, including rubbing her labia and inserting the toothbrush into plaintiff’s vagina," according to the story.

The lawsuit alleges that producers knew about the rape, which allegedly took place while Cooley was passed out, the story reports. Producers reportedly replaced the toothbrush but never told Cooley what happened, the story says. Cameras were apparently rolling during the incident.

TMZ reports: “The suit also claims female cast members were stripped of their bathing suits and that male cast members were encouraged by producers to ‘inappropriately touch female cast members’ bodies, including in intimate areas.’"

Calls to MTV weren’t returned, the piece adds.

Cooley was a cast member on MTV’s "The Real World: Chicago" and later appeared on a number of "The Real World/Road Rules Challenge" editions.
