A former Fox News Channel and ABC News foreign correspondent has made the jump to CBS News, where she will continue to focus on international coverage and will work across multiple platforms for the network, including "60 Minutes," reports B&C.

The correspondent is Clarissa Ward. Jeff Fager, chairman, CBS News, and ’60 Minutes’ executive producer, and David Rhodes, president, CBS News, made the announcement Monday. Fager said in a statement, "Clarissa is a terrific reporter with extensive international experience. She will be a huge asset at a time when we are increasing our international coverage at CBS News."

Ward’s first assignment will be in Afghanistan. She will then be based in London. Her tenure will begin in December.
