AMC, whose signature series are dark dramas along the lines of "Breaking Bad," "Mad Men" and "The Walking Dead," is getting into comedy, Deadline.com reports.

The network whose motto has been "Story Matters Here" is developing a half-hour comedy about four middle-aged guys dealing with life, called "How to Cheat on Your Wife." AMC has given the project a presentation order, the story reports.

It’s being written, directed and executive produced by Rob Roy Thomas. The story begins the day after the four attend the funeral of a friend. Thomas is actively developing the comedy and Marc Provissiero and Naomi Odenkirk will co-executive produce.

  1. I don’t care how good that show is, I won’t watch it if it keeps that title. What’s next? “How To Beat Your Wife” or “How to Divorce Your Wife and Leave Her With Nothing” Is that where the funny is? Your pain and suffering is hilarious! Now who do we pitch “The Holocaust: A Comedy” to???
